This holiday card was designed by a Creator who we have since terminated our partnership with. While we no longer stand behind this Creator, we believe that their message on homelessness is still valid. Their holiday cards are now discontinued.

Inspiration:

“You have that bottle in your hand, but you couldn’t even buy your mom a gift.”

“This is what I heard as I staggered through the door of my mom’s place on Christmas day. Hearing that struck home, but I brushed it off because I didn’t want to face the reality of who I’ve become. What does drug and alcohol take away from you? It takes away opportunity and it takes away family.”

“It’s stubbornness that keeps it distant. I want to get closer with my family, but it’s scary because it’s foreign.”

“I bought my mom a gift this Christmas - it’s the first time in over 20 years I’ve gotten her a gift. I wanted to show my gratitude, and to show her that I am growing and that I am changing to care about others. It makes me feel like I’m being part of the family again. I can picture her smiling because it’s a gift from me.“

“The gift is wrapped in the same wrapping paper that’s on this card, and it has the same bright yellow bow.”
