Since 2018, we’ve partnered with individuals with lived experience to create social projects on causes from homelessness, youth addiction, period poverty, to food insecurity.
We partner with individuals in our community with lived experience to create our designs for your products. And we provide them with opportunities to inspire us through storytelling and through the design itself.

The Community Company has created custom products for school boards, businesses, entrepreneurs, universities, and charities. We’ve created everything from holiday cards, thank you cards, thank you gifts, custom t-shirts, apparel, and tote bags.

Not only do we partner with individuals in our community to design our products, our supply chain is almost entirely local.
Our products are screenprinted and embroidered in Waterloo, Ontario. Our cards are designed by a local graphic designer. Our labels are woven by an incredible woman named Lenka. When we work with photographers, writers, and artists, we prioritize local students or self-employed individuals looking to grow their portfolio and business.
We acknowledge that it is not entirely possible to source certain materials locally, but we promise to make our best efforts.

Case Study: Custom & Branded Holiday Cards.
In 2021, we released a set of five holiday cards created by youth experiencing homelessness at oneROOF Youth Services. The holiday cards shared genuine messages of hope and perseverance.
We also created a custom holiday card for an organization’s annual Christmas card program. They wanted a holiday card with a cozy winter scene to match their brand, so we designed our Cabin Holiday Card based off of an original design created by a youth. It also included a custom pre-written message on the inside.
We delivered the 600 holiday cards to our customer within two weeks and shared a percentage of our profits with all of the youth who participated in the project.
