Building community by delivering no-charge mental wellness items to individuals & families who need it most
COVID-19 & Mental Wellness
The Wellness Project was created in March 2020 to alleviate some of the mental health consequences of COVID-19 in our community.
Humans are social creatures, and many people have experienced or continue to experiencing anxiety, loneliness, and depression as a consequence of this pandemic.
Through our partnership with HOPE House, The Wellness Project delivered 550 no-charge Wellness Boxes in April and May 2020 to brighten the day of people most impacted by the ongoing crisis.
What’s Next?
We believe that community kindness shouldn’t stop when the pandemic stops.
The Wellness Project has brought an incredible amount of joy to those who received a box:
“During times like this, the only person I talk to is my 4 year old. It made me feel thought of and appreciated even though I'm a single mom. This made me feel like people do care about other people, especially when times are hard!”
The Wellness Project will be relaunched again in the future when we find a partner to join us!
What’s a Wellness Box?
Every Wellness Box includes healthy fruits, mental wellness activities, and a gentle reminder to the recipient that they are loved
A Meaningful Act of Kindness
We intentionally designed our Wellness Box to provide the same feeling a premium subscription box would.
The Wellness Box builds community as it is a gentle reminder that people are thinking of them and have their back.
Wellness Boxes have included items like strawberries, puzzles, postcards, pottery kits, paint supplies, DIY cookie kits, yoga bands, and colouring books.

Here’s how you can Help

1: Purchase a Wellness Box
You can directly gift a Wellness Box to an individual or family through the charities we partner with.
In exchange for your purchase, you will receive a digital certificate to recognize your contribution to our community.
If you purchase 2 or more Wellness Boxes, you will also receive a set of Social Distancing Postcards!
2: Sponsor an Entire Day
Through a personal gift or business/organization sponsorship, you can purchase an entire day’s worth of Wellness Box deliveries.
In exchange for your generosity, you will have the opportunity to: select items for your wellness box sponsorship, include a logo or message, and receive a shoutout for stepping up and being a local hero.
3. Share with a friend or business
If you are not able to financially afford to gift a box but love what we do, that’s totally okay!
The biggest compliment you can give us is sharing this with a friend or local business that you think would support a project like this.

Our Vision
We delivered 550 Wellness Boxes in May to HOPE House community members. Our goal by the end of 2021 is to deliver another 1,000 boxes in partnership with other charities in our area. Help us get there!
